i am grateful for the opportunity to deliver my speech here after 7-days’ preparation with my friend jinly. thanks to jinly’s strong support in our work. i think it is my way of saying thank you to you that giving an excellent presentation to all my friends here.
the subject of our presentation is “your dream & your goal”. during the next 10 minutes, we’ll give you a brief explanation of these stuff at the best of our knowledge.
first of all, i’d like to spent 3 or 5 minutes on discussing about the dream. when we were 5, they asked us what we want to be when we grow up. we answered like superman, princess, or in my case, a sailor moon. when we were 10, again they asked and the answer was policemen, doctors and some other high-principled jobs. but unfortunately, we finally found our dreams unrealistic as we entered a not-so-good high school, did not-so-good school works and went to a not-so-good direction in our life. i guess, many of you have thought about changing your dreams, but finally felt at a loss again. yep! we’re adults and they are waiting for a serious answer. well, how about this? who the hell knows! dream is only a dream. it’s unnecessary for us to think over our dreams all day long. you know, dreams always change, and this is not the time to make difficult decisions. but what do dreams do? why do we still have an urgent need of dreams?
think about it: do you have had a time when you were full of happiness just because you have made an achievement that pushes you a bit to your dream? do you have had a time when you insist on what you were doing even the tears keep falling from your eyes? that is the power from dreams! may i equate the faith and the dream here? as we all know, aims and dreams are far from each other to some extent but close to each other on the other hand. just like the parabola and the number line in mathematics. but it is the dream that help us to map out our aim and work out plans one after another in our life. just like what howard schultz, the founder of the starbuck said, dreams are like the stars----we never reach them, but like mariners, we chart our course by them. and i believe that if you have a dream and make efforts step by step, some of you may extremely finish the quantitative change on the way to success and reach the qualitative change!
i would like to finish my part by a tongue twister: whether the weather be fine or whether the weather be not. whether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot. well weather the weather whether we like it or not. whatever you dreams are and however difficult it is to realize them. reach your aim step by step and i believe your dreams will extremely come into truth!
thank you for your lending an attentive ear to my point of view. let’swelcome jinly and she will talk about the goal, which is the other part of our presentation, during the next 5 minutes.
forgive my stupid words and it’s my pleasure to answer any of your questions after class!

hello everyone! it is my great pleasure to share my dream with you today.
you know being a teacher is a thing that is very valuable and very interesting. i suggest that it must be a great fun to be with children all the day. and if i am a teacher, i can teach my students a lot of knowledge. they might become stronger and cleverer because of me. that is a very contented feeling.
china is a developing country. chinese are not that excellent in their intellegent. so teachers in china might be very very important. they can provide the society with a lot of successful people, and make china a better place.
do you think that i have a good dream? i will work hard to make my dream become true!
everyone has a dream. now ill talk about my dream i what is my dream? i often ask myself. when i was a little boy, i wanted to be a soldier with a gun so that i could defend our motherland.
now i am a young boy with a new dream——to be a doc-tor. i want to be a famous doctor, helping the sick and saving their lives. why has my dream changed? well, at the age of 11 i was ill, badly ill. i was told that i had cancer. i had to leave both my school and my friends and go to the hospital. every day i suf-fered the troubles caused by this illness.
i also saw some people who were suffering and dying of ill-nesses. i made up my mind to become a doctor, so that i can help the sick people and cure them of their diseases. china is a develop-ing country. she needs good medicine and good doctors, especially in the countryside and lonely villages.
i want to try my best to help the poor sick people of our country. i want to let them have an opportunity to receive excel-lent treatments for their illnesses without having to pay much or any money.
ill do every bit to cure the incurable. i hope to see a world where there is no cancer, no aids, no fatal diseases. im confident that through the joint efforts of you and me, man will put an end to his bodily sufferings and this dream of mine will one day be brought into reality.

everyone has a dream, it is everybody yearning. but the man without a dream of the life will be empty. but dreams are always with the thought of advance and change. begin to remember, i have a dream. i hope i have money, people always ask: "boy, this is a great dream, have money, what are you going to do?" " im going to buy chocolate."" if you have a lot of money?" " i will buy a lot of chocolate.""
if you have money to burn?" " ill buy chocolate factory." indeed when we, innocent, with a kind heart, happineand joy is a constant movement. when i was young, i have a dream. i hope you can become a kite, floating in the sky, and then slowly fell down. then in the green meadow like playing with companion, often chasing the white clouds in the sky, let the flap with laughter, do the multicolored multicoloured dream. read, i have a dream. i hope to have a basketball; when i had time for basketball, but also want a football; when i play football, volleyball became my pursuit. another has a dream into a reality when, in fact i believe that the dream is not far away from me, as long as childish play, will be the realization of a dream. slowly into the primary school, middle school, high school .... will feel more pressure there, so will not be a dream, only know that reading to die, there is no note of those happy. remember, i have a dream. i hope that day will not have a lot of homework to do.
a bit of time to play deprived, and our day in 40% were imprisoned in the classroom, a lot of time on their study. but in the face of learning, or a vague awareness. as the saying goes," woolly-headed", understanding, also from feudalism to capitalism, the more feel it right. start up high all the time, i have a dream, i hope i can become a top student, got many awards; home to be family praise; in school teachers have been affirmed; among the students to stand head and shoulders above others performance; in the eyes can be recognized as a good child. but, gradually, i found that to achieve this dream and cannot rely on to childish play. later, i learned how to fight. bustling about home from school one day, it is leisure, listen to music, eat dinner, back to school. this day very dull, perhaps sometimes put a lot of friends; sometimes miss, or a pair of sleepy driving school. love fashion school clothing, really want to go for a walk, take a look at. sundays time is very short, baby i really want to make, s
lowly know life hard and dream is really too difficult, but i will work hard, to see everyone to live up early to catch up later, hold oneself no longer loose.

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today.when i was a child, i wanted to be a teacher. my father was a teacher, and he taught me a lot. i worshiped him very much. on my tenth birthday, he asked me,“what do you want to be when you grow up?”i answered proudly,“i want to be a teacher like you!”on hearing this, my father was very happy and said to me, “work hard and your dream will come true.” not long ago, one of my primary school teachers was ill. she wanted me to take her place for two weeks. i was glad but nervous. my father said to me,“this is a good chance. seize it! i wish you success!” when i came into the classroom, the children were very happy. i introduced myself to them. soon, i got on well with them. they all liked me and i loved them. with my father and headmaster's help, i did the work very well. now, i often miss those lovely children. that experience had made me even more interested in being a teacher in the future.

we will all have a big dream when we are young. how many people can stick to it and go to the end of the road? the poem of the age, indeed to live as a poem, but youth is like a vain time, to also hurry, to also hurry, just like the passing gravel fingertips. since the past sorrow can not be traced back, the future wishes are difficult to touch, why not dream to interpret youth to be true to pure?
fenghua is a sand flow, and the old is a period of time. on the road of pursuing dreams, it may experience countless failures. but as bingxin wrote in the flower of success, "the successful flowers, people only envy her present brilliance, but her bud is soaked in the tears of struggle and the blood rain of sacrifice is spilled." successful flowers need sweat, tears and even blood. it can be seen that dreams are not far away, but you need to pay. although you pay, they may not be rewarded. but taking this step will have the second and third steps... the road is far away, unimpeded, full of thorns, but the bumpy opposite side is the dream beyond the reach of the heart.
the colorful world, strange and strange, is accompanied by people's infinite reverie and vision. youth needs dreams, youth is beautiful because of dreams. young people like to put our dreams in our hearts and let them bloom brave flowers. as william james said, "smart people always fill their brains with other people's wisdom, stupid people always interfere with their emotions with their wisdom, learn to be strong and be confident in life. left hand memory, right-hand years, meet what should meet, have can have, cherish should cherish. looking back, there will always be a lamp to light our way forward; there will always be a ray of sunshine, give us warmth; there will always be a smile, it is for us to bloom. deep in time, hold a light understanding, life of the intersection, waiting for flowers to open. " we will not escape, nor should we escape the most real desire in our hearts.
enjoy your dreams and let youth bloom its luster. a real dream seeker is dissatisfied with his heart. he will be eager to get more. he can calm down his heart, and enjoy the dream he should pursue, enjoy the process of pursuing his dream, and let his heart feel the "beauty" of youth.
youth needs dreams, without dreams of youth, just as there is no flower spring, lost color, lost vitality. let us wantonly youth, looking for the dream in our heart.

i enter tile university after years of hardstudy and preparation. but life in the university is not as satisfactory as what i had expected.
i become lazy and don't want to study.i become silcent. i become puzzled. i don't know what i can do in the future.
then i become unhappy. four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime.
now it has passed a half. in this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what i want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life.
i don't want to follow their suggestion, and i want to go my style.
so i think carefully. i have been a young volunteer for five 's very happy and significant. then i have a dream.i want to join the university student volunteers go west programe.
i think i can be a teacher in the west.i want to try my best to help them and help me. i want to see the world cearly. now i can't reach its demand and it's very diffcult, but i will work hard in the next two years. there is an old saying"where there is a will, there is a way."i think my dream can come in the university i mature, and in the university i prepare for the real world.
at last,i want to say to everybody"hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."

when i was a naughty boy, may be because of theinfluence of the film."xiao bing zhang ga",my dreamwas to be a soldier just like zhang ga. i thought if iwas a soldier, i should be able to swim, dive andclimb trees as he did. it seemed to be verywonderful. so i began to learn swimming, diving andclimbing trees. i practiced every day and finally icould do them well. but when i entered junior highschool and had the military training. i suddenlyfound that being a soldier was very difficult and iwasn't strong enough to bear it . i had to give mydream up. but i wasn't discouraged, and i had new aim, which was to be a postman, or rather to bea newspaper boy. as a newspaper boy.
i could speed along streets on a bike and thrownewspapers onto every porch. that's also very cool. so i started learning to ride a r the everyday practice, i could go very fast by bicycle. but to my disappointment, the jobwhich i wanted only existed in western counties not in china, because there was no porch inchina. and chinese postmen had to stuff very thick newspapers into very small mailboxes fromvery narrow entrances. the job was far from what i had expected.
so once again my dream fellthrough. perhaps you have had the same experience as i and most of your dreams haven't cometrue yet. but i think it doesn't matter, because if you have a dream, you'll make many effortsto realize it. this course is really important. if i hadn't dreamt of being a soldier or anewspaper boy. i wouldn't have learned to swim, to dive, to climb trees or to ride a if our dream can't come true, you'll learn much from the efforts you have made. sowhat i want to tell us is that dream helps us to grow up and teaches us how to control ourlives . it is dream that gives us power and makes our lives colorful.

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. my dream is to become a teacher.... as the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. i don’t expect complete freedom, which is impossible. i simply have a dream that supports my life.
i dream that one day, i could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. with my favorite fictions, i lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last.
simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction. i dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic and cartoon away. they could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happiness with us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. that’s the real communication of heart to heart.
i have the belief that my dreams should come true. i am looking forward to some day coming when i am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vast sky.

there are failures and there are failures, but the differences between bankruptcy and financial diminishment, divorce and marital strife, spiritual crisis and anomie are distinctions of degree, not kind. and they are connected. woe in one sphere strains the seams of others. it's not pretty. and that's why failure is something you wouldn't wish on your least agreeable relative.
a theory is gaining momentum that looks at failure differently. failure, it says, is at worst a mixed blessing: it hurts, but can pay off in the form of learning and growth and wisdom. some psychologists, like the university of virginia's jonathan haidt, go even further, arguing that adversity, setbacks, and even trauma may actually be necessary for people to be happy, successful, and fulfilled. "post-traumatic growth," it's sometimes called. its observers are building a solid foundation under the anecdotes about wildly successful people who credit their accomplishments to earlier failures that pushed them to the edge of the abyss.
we do know that learning is error-driven—probably as a result of the brain trying to be efficient. failures grab our attention. so many things happen the way we expect them to that mistakes register disproportionately. we're forced to integrate that new information. researchers have found that the more wildly wrong our prediction was, the quicker we learn. the brain, you might say, feeds on failure. we are acutely sensitive to negative feedback, and this "negativity bias" drives learning, at least from teenagehood on up.

i'm sure everybody is interested in dream, so i will share a story with you.
when we talk about dreams,we are so excited.we all have our own dreams, some want to be teachers, others want to be doctors, others want to be scientists.however, not all dreams can come true,as people always give them up for some reason.
a dream is to a man what wings are to a bird. with a dream in the deep heart`s core, a man is spontaneously driven to hitch his wagon to a star. a dream is an inexhaustible source of energy that keeps our enthusiasm burning, and kindles our desire to enhance our spiritual cultivation, refine our character, and upgrade our quality of life. a life without a dream is like a bird with broken wings, confined to a cage and oblivious of what lies beyond the range of its vision. on the contrary, a man with a dream is like a warrior armed with ambition, foresight and gallantry, daring to step into an unknown domain to make a journey of adventure. it is dream that adds fullness, variety, and spice to our life and makes it worth living.
i would like to take liu xiang as an example.liu,as the first chinese man to win an olympic track and field medal, dreamed of defending his olympic title on home soil.to achieve this dream,he was bathed with sweat on the training ground every day.what’s more, now and then he suffered injuries.however, neither the injury nor the pressure has prevented him from striving to achieve the goal.eventually,he kept or even renewed his record in the men’s 110-meter hurdle with his perseverance.
it is true that barriers may sometimes stand in the way of your dreams, but remember success is hiding behind them.instead of making dozens of excuses for your failure, just think about liu xiang’s story, hold on your dreams and never give up.
if you do not want your dreams to come to naught, then hold fast to your dreams and never give up.just as the saying goes,”do not,for one repulse, forgo the purpose that you resolved to effect.”
if you can do the following points, your dreams will come true one day.first, plant your dream in a fertilized soil.second, water it with your diligence and give it the best food----knowledge.third,remove the seeds of unhappiness for they can destory your dream.the most important is let the seed of your dream enjoy the beautiful sunshine,so what it can grow well.and however hard the situation is,o not give it up and always give it your best care.then you will get a good harvest in the end.
dreams are what we pursue for a lifetime, with many dreams,we have motivation to fight for our life.the opposite side of dream is reality.we have to face reality everyday, reality is what we perceive in our life.reality always frustrates us to be successful.we need to balance them.

dream, as the ideal kite, with we yearn for the blue sky, fly. my dream isto become a great scientist, to benefit the people.
remember once, my father and i played badminton go home, found the powerwent out. don't blow fan, can only be natural wind. me and dad with a wet towelto rub the body again. rub, rub, but is still hot, very afflictive.
after this, i see a great scientist. have a dream, more like reading. therole of scientists, was destined to want to read more, learn more knowledge.therefore, i choose to read to finish this great dream.
edison invented the electric light, to make our night full of light. jamesinvented the electric fan, let us from the heat came to a cool and refreshingworld. baird invented television, eliminate our depressed... , these inventionsand the one is not the creation of writers have worked.
reading, let's get new knowledge; let us closer to success; let's haveunexpected harvest. as long as i read the book, my heart is like a pair ofwings, fly in the blue sky.
scientists, in my mind is how great! because their pay, just for ourcomfort, because they contribute to our happiness, but because of theircreation, to get us more diligence and hard work, i will fight for my goal, comeon!

good evening! my name is xx. i'm x years old. we come from showbe english school. it's my great pleasure to stand here and share my dream with you tonight.
different people have different dreams. some people dream of being rich or famous, some others dream of staying young forever. i also have a lot of dreams. but my biggest dream is to spread english throughout china and chinese throughout the world.
as everyone knows, english is an international language which is spoken all over the world. time magazine suggested that english is used by one quarter of the world's population. sixty percent of the world's television and radio broadcasts are produced and delivered in english. seventy percent of the world's e-mails are addressed in english. and it is the language of choice for almost every byte of computer data sent across the globe. if we can speak english well, we will have more chances to succeed. more and more people have taken notice of this fact. therefore, the number of the people who seek to learn english has increased at a rapid speed.
however, for me, i learn english not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it. when i learn english, i sense a different way of thinking which gives me more possibilities to be in touch with the world. when i read english novels, i can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. when i speak english, i feel a great confidence within me. when i write english, i can see the beauty of the words.
